Is there anything better than to grab a freshly baked bread or a bun for breakfast? Just the smell of bread coming out of the oven and filling your home is just too good...
Store bought bread contains god knows what. If you look at the list of ingredients on the packages you probably won't know what half of the things even are. Why on earth do you want to eat that when it's super easy to bake your own bread?!

You will need:
11g dry east
380g flour
250ml warm water
wee bit of oil, salt & sugar
1 egg
(Just double up the amounts if you want to make a bigger batch of whatever you're making!)
Mix the yeast, flour & salt together. Mix ~2tps sugar with warm water and add to the flour mix. Add oil and knead the dough until its all well mixed.
Wrap your bowl into a kitchen towel and set it next to a warm place to rise. If you don't have any suitable warm areas here's an idea for you that I always use - fill up your kettle to max and boil it. Put the bowl next to it and cover both the bowl and the kettle with a towel. Leave it to rise for 1 - 1.5h. Your dough should now be roughly double the size.
Cover your work top with a wee bit of flour and toss the dough on to it. Split it into wee balls. size is up to you, I usually split it into 4-6 but you can always make smaller buns if you want! :) Put your dough balls on to an oven dish that's covered with baking paper. Crack open an egg, mix it and brush your buns with it. If you like, sprinkle some seeds on top of the buns. You can always put seeds into the dough as well.
Bake them ~15 minutes 200 °C.
You can make all sorts of stuff with the dough. Pies, bread, even cinnamon rolls..
Enjoy!
